The Logan County Marching Cougars participated in the Class 4A State semifinals on Saturday in Berea Kentucky. The band finished in the top ten.

The Logan County and Russellville high school bands wrapped up their seasons over the weekend by competing in the Kentucky Music Educators Association State Marching Band Championships in Lexington.

Russellville finished 10th in the Class A semifinals, which were held at Frederick Douglass High School. Murray won the Class A title. Washington County was second, Beechwood was third and Williamstown finished fourth.

In the Class 4A semifinals held at Madison Southern High School, Logan County also finished 10th in the state. Lafayette won the Class 4A title. North Hardin finished second, Madison Central was third and Paul Lawrence Dunbar came in fourth.
