As I read an article about Kenny Rogers hospitalization, there was a catchy statement that he made to many of his fans. "I've thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to say farewell to the fans over the course of the past two years on 'The Gambler's Last Deal' tour."

"The Gambler's Last Deal" made me think that there is a last for everyone, A last haircut, a last kiss, a last day at work, a last drive, a last ice cream cone, a last tear, a last joke, a last picture, a last goodbye and many, many more examples of the last things that we will do.

As we walk, talk, ride and past through this life, there is little time given to think about our "last" things or statements that will be done. Maybe that is a good thing, however. Maybe we need to move as fast as we can - while working, playing and loving. Maybe we need not worry about the "last" as much as we do the present. Jesus was sent to be our Savior but he also was our teacher, healer, and example. Even though he was headed to the cross, in order to be the ultimate sacrifice, he was always engaged in the moment. He was always focused on the present,

Time rushes by and we have a lot of "livin" to do in the moment but don't worry to much about the "..Last Deal". If you have a personal relationship with Jesus, then focus on the present. Grow, love and enjoy! The "Last Deal" will take care of itself. Grab the moment and enjoy! Ecclesiastes 7:14 states, "When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other.

The last will come -- but for now enjoy and live to the fullest
