One of the hardest or most difficult things for anyone to do is to Give. Hold on, some may be quick to say that they Give their time, while others will say that they Give their money. But the question is how much do you Give? If we are honest, we will admit that we have limits or boundaries to our Giving, I know that I do. But Jesus didn’t, He Gave His all — everything. And Jesus never went without. Anne Frank wrote, “No one has ever became poor by giving.”

II Corinthians 9:6 (b) states, “... and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

II Corinthians 9:10-11 shares, “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” If you have seeds and plant them — they grow and produce fruit and more seed. The concept is simple but we may make if difficult because of fear and little trust. Many would say that they work hard for their money and even for their free time — so they feel it should be theirs to keep and hold. But remember “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.,” Luke 6:38. Matthew 6:19-20. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But stor up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

Giving is a recognition of how our God has loved and supplied all of our needs. It also releases God’s blessings to be showered upon us. We simply cannot out Give God!

I read of a Church, in Anderson, South Carolina, that had 7000 people accept a challenge to Give 10% of everything to the Church. In 3 months time, if the individuals did not feel and see the blessings of God in specific ways, they could request all of their money back, every cent. All they had to do is ask for it. No questions would be asked. At the end of the 3 month trial only 20 people requested their funds be returned.

NO Church should have to ask for money, NO Missionary should be in need, NO Minister should be struggling — because NO Christian should ever limit their Giving — but be alert to God’s guidance as to how much time and money they should Give — to the Church of their choice and to the communities needs. And through it All — All will be blessed!
