Steve Shifflett, age 68, of Franklin, Ky., passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.

He was born in Logan County, Ky. on Feb. 14, 1952, to the late L. P. and Ruth Marie (Robbins) Shifflett.

Steve was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church, was a truck driver, a part-time realtor, and a farmer. He volunteered a lot of time with the local veteran's organizations with his wife.

Steve is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rena Prince Shifflett; a son, Terry Prince (April) of Columbia, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Chancz McGee (Lauren), Chantel Prince (David Andrews) and Carly McGee; a special granddaughter, Danielle Thornsberry; his aunt, Rosa Catherine Hughes, and cousins, Don Hughes (Cleatus) and David Hughes (Debbie).

Funeral services for Steve Shifflett will be conducted Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Shields and Bro. Mike Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, March 13 at New Friendship Baptist Church from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers are David Andrews, Chancz McGee, Tim Groves, Barry Harris, Michael Meguiar, Wesley Wrenn, Brad Vinson, James Vinson, and Billy West. Honorary pallbearers are Currie Barrow, Lynn Lamb, Johnathon Vinson, Ronnie Vinson and all the neighboring farmers to the Shifflett Family Farm.
