Robert Lee Bell, age 86, of Allensville, Ky., passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at his home of natural causes.

He was born on June 19, 1932, in Allenville, Ky. the son of the late George and Ella Kimbrough Bell.

Service to the Lord was part of his daily life as he was a faithful servant and deacon at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where he often and passionately played harmonica and lead worship. He loved his family, church family, singing in the choir, and enjoyed gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as six brothers, James, Luther, Sam, Calvin, Oliver, and Jessie and one sister, George Ella Bell Glass.

Fondly known as "Uncle Johnny" to most, he leaves his sisters, Jane Ann Knox of Corona, Calif.; step-brother, Roy Sebree of Toledo, Ohio, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn his passing.

There will be a memorial service on Aug. 4 at 2:30 p.m. following Sunday services at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 60 Mount Pleasant Lane, Allensville, Ky. with Rev. Frank Johnson officiating.
