Rachel Marguerite Shoemake, age 95, of Russellville, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky.

Mrs. Shoemake was born in Springfield, Tenn. on April 26, 1925, to the late Arch Perry and Francis Jackson Perry. She was a homemaker and member of Southern Heights Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burble Lee Shoemake and son, Daniel Shoemake.

She is survived by one son, Tony Shoemake and wife Barbara of Russellville, Ky.; six daughters, Patsy Shoemake of Russellville, Ky., Shelby Fuller of Russellville, Ky., Betty Shoemake of Russellville, Ky., Sherry Shoemake of Russellville, Ky., Judy Hardin of Russellville, Ky., and Kathy Porter of Quality, Ky.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Rachel Marguerite Shoemake will be conducted Friday, Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. at Summers & Son Funeral Home with Bro. David Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Russellville Memorial Gardens. A walk-through visitation will begin at the funeral home Friday, Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m. Please observe CDC guidelines of six feet distancing and wearing of face coverings.

Pallbearers are Jeff Lewis, Rodney Seay, Craig Collins, Leonard Dye, Corey Shoemake, and Kenneth Lewis.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
