June Dawson Lyne, age 87, of Olmstead, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019, at her home.

She was born in Louisville, Ky. on Sept. 28, 1931, to the late Leonard Hugh Dawson, Jr. and Margaret Hite Dawson.

She was a bookkeeper for the Browns Tobacco Company and member of the Bethany Church of Christ for 70 years. She also served five terms as Kentucky State Representative for Logan and Todd Counties.

She is survived by her husband, Nelson Lyne; one son, David Sciortino and wife Gerry of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter, Patty Williams and husband Hal of Olmstead, Ky.; one brother, Michael Dawson of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Annell Sciortino of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for June Dawson Lyne will be conducted Friday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. at Crittenden Drive Church of Christ with Harris Dockins officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday, Aug. 30 at Crittenden Drive Church of Christ from 1 p.m. until the service hour at 3 p.m. Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are David Allen Sciortino, Austin Hyde, David Johnson, Hal Williams, Nickolas Hyde, and Jeff Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Dawson, Bradley Brown, Keith Wilson, and grandchildren.
