James Glenn Epley, age 79, of Russellville, Ky., passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020, at the Logan Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Russellville, Ky. on April 12, 1941, to the late Floyd Edward and Dorothy Irene (Talley) Epley.

James was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a diesel mechanic.

He is preceded in death by a son, Jason Epley; a daughter, Trudy Hales; a brother, Floyd Edward Epley, Jr., and a son-in-law, Mark Noel.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dena Epley; son, James Epley, Jr. of Russellville, Ky.; three daughters, Diane Burchett (Benny) of Russellville, Ky., Danyelle Noel of Campbellsville, Ky., and Rebecca Dykema (James) of Russellville, Ky.; four brothers; Jerry Wayne Epley (Agnes) of Franklin, Ky., Tommy Epley of Auburn, Ky., Samuel Epley (Susie) of Russellville, Ky., and Tony Dale Epley (Kimberly) of Franklin, Ky.; four sisters, Martha Bell Murry (Ronnie) of Franklin, Ky., Linda Farmer (Harold) of LaVergne, Tenn., Mary Hamilton of Hodgenville, Ky., and Ruby Thompson (Tommy) of Portland, Tenn.; 24 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family has chosen cremation and will have a memorial service Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Ronnie Murry officiating. Visitation will begin Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 3-5 p.m.

The family asks that donations be made to the Young Funeral Home to help with the burial expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
