Harry Lendel “Len” Embry, age 72, of Russellville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, in the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

Len was born on Oct. 17, 1947, in Richardsville, Ky. to the late Harry Embry and late Ruth Embry.

Len was a United States Navy veteran, served as a detective on the City of Russellville Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, camping, and his family.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Densil Embry and his daughter, Candace Kim Embry.

he is survived by his wife, Teresa Embry of Russellville, Ky.; his son, Shaun Embry and wife Randi of Russellville, Ky.; his daughters, Michele Embry Madison of Russellville, Ky. and Raquel Higgins and husband Joe of Russellville, Ky., and his grandchildren, Jacob Higgins, Zachary Higgins, Elijah Higgins, Isabella Higgins, Maia Madison, Scout Madison, Caiden Embry and Jaiden Embry.

Funeral services for Harry “Len” Embry will be conducted Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Mike Humble officiating. Visitation will be conducted at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 16 from 4 p.m. until the service time at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Barren River Area Child Advocates Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
