Carole Jean Gibson Beasley, age 80, of Russellville, Ky., passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at Creekwood Nursing and Rehab.

She was a Logan County native born March 31, 1939, to the late Carl Gibson and Mayzene King Gibson.

She was a homemaker and active member of Second Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Beasley and brothers-in-law, Bernice Beasley and Clyde Stokes.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Starks and husband Michael of Russellville, Ky. and Vonda Nelson and husband Nick of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Roger Gibson and wife Caroline of Rockfield, Ky.; two sisters-in-law, Donna Beasley of Russellville, Ky. and Imogene Stokes of Russellville, Ky.; grandchildren, John Michael Starks and wife Sara, Christopher Starks, Nicholas Nelson and Noah Nelson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Carole Jean Gibson Beasley will be conducted Friday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Duff officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began at the funeral home Thursday, Aug. 29 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 30 from 8 a.m. until the service hour of 11 a.m.

Pallbearers are John Michael Starks, Christopher Starks, Nicholas Nelson, Noah Nelson, Hal Stokes, Tim Stokes, and Kevin Beasley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosie Foundation or Second Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
