The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats will visit Logan County tonight for the first district action of the young basketball season. The two schools always put on a show for fans as they battle close in most games. The Cougars edged the Cats 67-66 in the 13th District championship game last season. Surely the Wildcats have revenge in mind for tonight. The Lady Cougars were also district champions last season.

The Cougars will enter into tonight's game hungry for the first win of the season. Logan County (0-2) dropped the first two games but will use the district game against Franklin (1-2) to hopefully bounce back before the upcoming holiday tournaments.

The Lady Cougars beat Ohio County in the season-opener but dropped the next game to Pleasure Ridge Park at the Independence Bank Classic.

Through only two games, Kennedy Nichols has 27 points and 21 rebounds for Logan County. Peyton Vanzant has 24 points, and Paige Vanzant has 21.

Franklin-Simpson (2-1) will tip against Logan County (1-1) at 6 pm tonight.
