Russellville hosted a tough Glasgow team at Rhea Stadium last Friday. The Scotties only lost two games last season and were three wins away from a Class 2A state title. On Friday, they handed the Class 1A Panthers a 56-0 loss.

Glasgow used three different quarterbacks who combined for 278 yards and four touchdowns through the air. The ground game got the Scotties another 148 yards and three scores.

Xavier Coleman led the Panthers in receiving with a 40-yard catch. Josh McMurry and Trenton Hopkins also grabbed passes from quarterback Lennon Ries.

Chevis Elliott led the Panthers in the ground game.

Russellville (0-2) will host Butler County (0-2) tonight at Rhea Stadium. The Panthers won the meeting between the two clubs last season, 17-13.

Logan County picked up the second win of the season last Friday. The Cougars pounded Muhlenberg County 59-0. They have now out-scored opponents 114-20 through two games.

Tyler Ezell threw for 246 yards with three touchdowns Friday night. Gary Hardy scored four times on the ground and racked up 153 yards.

Rooster Woodard caught four passes for 121 yards and one score. Maurice Gordon caught two touchdown passes.

The defense had 48 total tackles, including 11 for a loss.

Logan County hits the road tonight for a game at Warren East.
