The first basketball Clash of the Cats this season was played on January 4th. Logan County came away with the boys/girls sweep over Russellville. Round 2 is set for tonight at Logan County High School.

The Lady Panthers (14-6) lost the last two games in dramatic fashion. Warren East beat Russellville 61-58 in double overtime on Tuesday. The previous game ended in a 52-50 overtime loss to Todd County. The Lady Panthers have played well this season and will look for revenge against the Lady Cougars tonight.

The Panthers last played on the 14th against Cumberland County. Russellville (7-11) is looking for their first district win of the season tonight against the Cougars.

The Lady Cougars (12-7) were defeated by 4th Region-leading Barren County on Tuesday. The score was 65-53. Sarah Beth Hale had 17 points in that game. Logan County is (4-0) in the 13th District this season.

The Cougars (16-3) have the best record of the four teams at this point in the season. They suffered their first district loss to Franklin last Friday. Logan County beat Barren County on Tuesday by a score of 65-61.

The Lady Cougars host the Lady Panthers at 6 pm tonight. The men will square off for the finale scheduled for 7:30 at Logan County High School.
