Both Russellville teams had an early exit from the 13th District tournament this week at Logan County. The Panthers were defeated 15-0 by the baseball Cougars. The Lady Panthers did not have an answer for Franklin-Simpson pitcher Madison Davis and fell 7-2.

The baseball Panthers did not record a baserunner against Logan County on Monday. Daylan Roberts and Davin Holloway pitched for Russellville.

The Lady Panthers found themselves down 5-0 before scoring the team's first run on a fielder's choice in the bottom half of the 6th. A'miyah Collier hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 7th to make it 7-2 in favor of Franklin.

The Lady Panthers end the season with a program-record 20 wins.
