Todd County brought both the boys and girls teams to Logan County High School on Friday night for a district doubleheader. By the end of the night, both Logan teams improved to (2-0) in 13th District play with lopsided wins.

The ladies tipped first and put up 15 points in the first period. Addie White nailed a three and sank both free throws in the first. She would finish with a game-high 17 points. At the end of one, it was Logan leading Todd County, 15-8.

In the second quarter, the Lady Cougars poured it on the Lady Rebels. White hit three more 3-pointers in the period, while Logan County piled up 24 points. The halftime score was 39-14.

Logan County subbed in bench players while still dominating in the third quarter. The final score was 57-23.

Addie White hit five 3-pointers in the game. Peyton Vanzant hit three from behind the arc for nine points. Paige Vanzant finished with 13 points.

The Cougars roared out of the gate and held a 23-9 advantage after the first quarter. Rooster Woodard had 11 points in the opening frame, including three long shots.

At the half, the lead grew to 36-17. After the break, the Cougars slammed the Rebels with 28 points in the next eight minutes. It was 64-32 going into the final period. Dalton Thompson and Jose Nazario each scored eight in the 3rd.

The final was 75-42 for the Logan County district win.

Dalton Thompson finished the contest with 20 points to lead all scorers. Rooster Woodard had 15 on the night. Jose Nazario followed with 12, while Dylan Basham had 11.

The Cougars (10-3) will travel to Daviess County tonight to face the (5-8) Panthers. The two teams played on Dec. 27th in a game that went to Logan County 68-38.

The Lady Cougars (6-7) host South Warren (9-7) tonight.
