The fourth Region All "A" Classic is being held this week. The Lady Panthers and Panthers started the tournament at home on Monday. The boys fell to Cumberland County 84-76. The ladies got a 58-41 win over Cumberland County to advance to the semi-finals at Todd County on Wednesday.

Wednesday evening featured the semi-final round of the All "A" Classic at Todd County Central. The end result was a shocking heartbreak of a loss for Russellville in overtime.

The first half belonged to the Lady Panthers. Chloe Whitescarver nailed four 3-pointers in the first quarter alone. The score was 16-5 after the first period.

Bam Ray found the basket three times in the second frame and helped the Lady Panthers go up 28-18 at the break. After halftime, Russellville struggled to find the net. RHS only scored eight points in the third as Todd County put up 13 to start the rally. Suddenly, the Lady Panthers found themselves only up 36-31 going into the final quarter. Paige Rager and Amy Brumfield combined for 15 points in the fourth quarter to even the score and force overtime.

During the overtime period, Jayce Buchner hit a shot and one free throw for a total of three points. DeShala LeBlanc hit one free throw. The Lady Rebels hit four free throws and one jumper for the 52-50 win.

The dramatic comeback win was only the third victory of the season for Todd County.

Chloe Whitescarver led the way with 18 points for the Lady Panthers. DeShala LeBlanc added 12. Bam Ray collected eight points.

Russellville moves to (14-5) on the season. The next contest will be on Tuesday at home against Warren East.
