The Lady Cougars (21-10) play tonight against District 16 runner-up Metcalfe County. Metcalfe County comes into the game with an overall record of 22-8. The two teams faced off earlier in the season with Metcalfe County claiming a 70-64 win at Logan County on Dec. 20.

Russellville (18-11) is making its first trip to the region tournament since 2017. The Lady Panthers will be taking on District 14 champ Bowling Green on Wednesday night. The Lady Purples come into that game with a record of 24-7. The two teams did not meet in the regular season, but Bowling Green will have a familiar face on the sidelines in coach Calvin Head, who coached Russellville in its last trip to the girls regional two years ago.
