Sarah Beth Hale scored 23 points while hitting six 3-pointers on Friday night at Franklin-Simpson. The Lady Cougars won 57-42.

Sarah Beth Hale scored 23 points Friday night in Franklin to help the Lady Cougars beat the Lady Cats 57-42. Logan County is now (4-0) in district play this season.

The Lady Cougars (12-6) faced the Lady Cats earlier in the season at Logan County High School. Logan County won that game by a thin margin, 43-41.

Most of the scoring from Sarah Beth Hale came from 3-pointers. Hale hit six in the game. Paige Vanzant and Kennedy Nichols each scored 11 points in the win. Nichols pulled down 15 rebounds.

The Lady Cougars shot 11-for-16 from the free throw line.

The Cougars lost for only the third time this season at Franklin. The Friday night district loss runs the record to (15-3.) The final score was 57-52.

Up next for the Cougars is a road game at Barren County tonight before returning home to face Russellville on Friday.

The Lady Cougars also travel to Barren County tonight.
