On Friday night, Logan County faced its toughest test of the season so far at Warren East. The Cougars passed the test easily. The final was 35-17 in favor of the now (3-0) Logan County Cougars.

Senior Tyler Ezell is putting up some big numbers in 2019 so far. The quarterback threw for 280 yards with four touchdowns on Friday. That brings his three-game total to 737 yards with ten touchdowns. Ezell threw 12 touchdown passes total in 2018 with 1669 yards through the air.

Rooster Woodard caught eight passes on Friday night for 130 yards. Woodard had two touchdowns and also caught an interception. Gary Hardy eclipsed 100 yards with 113 total. Hardy has over 100 yards in each of the three games played this season.

Zach Yates led the defense with ten tackles. Carson Bradley recorded eight. Logan Gipson had three sacks against Warren East.

Logan County (3-0) will travel across town to Rhea Stadium this Friday.

Russellville hosted Butler County on Friday. The Panthers had the lead for most of the game but lost 20-15.

Quarterback Lennon Ries passed for 101 yards and threw his first touchdown pass of the year. Jovari Gamble caught the touchdown throw from Ries and finished with 70 yards on the night.

Gamble also ran for 62 yards and scored a rushing touchdown.

Landon Bollenbecker recorded ten tackles for the defense.

The Russellville Panthers will host The Logan County Cougars on Friday.
