The Logan County Lady Cougars marched into Elkton on Tuesday and took care of business in blowout fashion. Freshman Shelby Gettings was perfect from the pitcher's circle, allowing zeros across the board. Logan County won the district game over Todd County, 16-0.

The big story from the game was Shelby Gettings and the Lady Cougar defense. Gettings struck out four, while the defense retired the other 11 batters in the game. The perfect game was the first of the season for Logan County. It was the second shut out of the year for the Freshman, Gettings.

On the offensive side of the game for Logan, Gettings also hit a home run. Abby Hinton, Sydney Lee, Emerson McKinnis, Lillie Newman, and KJ Page all hit triples. Hinton also clubbed a double.

Logan County had 16 hits in the game. Kennedy Nichols led with three RBIs. Every Lady Cougar in the lineup scored at least once.

Logan County (14-3) overall and (4-0) in the 13th District will host Christian County (17-3) and South Warren (11-7) on Saturday.
