The 13th District soccer tournament was held at Logan County High School this week. The championship games were played on Thursday after the NDL press deadline. It was the Logan County Lady Cougars and Franklin-Simpson Lady Cats in the girls championship. The Logan County Cougars and Russellville Panthers squared off in the boys title game. We will have the results and game photos in the Tuesday edition of the paper.

In the opening match on Monday, The Lady Cougars and Lady Panthers took the field to start the tournament. Logan County scored ten goals and won 10-0. Kadyn Costello scored four times. Peyton Vanzant got two goals in the win. Morgan Gafford, Campbell Hamilton, Brianna Shelton, and Addie Corder also found the net.

The Cougars faced the Todd County Central Rebels in the second game. Logan County won 4-0 to advance to the championship on Thursday.

The Panthers played on Tuesday evening against the Wildcats from Franklin. Dustin Brown and Avery Flener both scored in the 2-1 win to set up a championship match with the Cougars on Thursday.
