On Tuesday, the Russellville Panthers baseball team visited Logan County for the second meeting between the teams this season. On a beautiful day for baseball, things turned ugly quickly for the cross-town guests.

Logan County scored five in the bottom of the first inning to take the early lead. Dylan Penick, Zach Yates, and Jacob Smock had RBIs in the first.

Parker White stepped to the plate to lead off in the bottom of the second. White tattooed a ball over the left-center field fence to make it 6-0. The score would be 11-0 before the Panthers retired the first batter of the inning. By the end of two, the Cougars were up 15-0.

Russellville scored the team's lone run in the top of the third inning. After three walks and two strikeouts, the bases were loaded for Jesus Zamarripa. Zamarripa was hit by a pitch, forcing in the run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Blake Wood ended the game on an RBI single that made the score 16-1.

For the Cougars on offense, there were 16 runs on 15 hits and no strikeouts.

Parker White hit a home run. Third Bell, Dylan Penick, Chandler Silvey, Jacob Smock, Koby Wall, and Zach Yates each hit a double. Third Bell had four RBIs.

The Panthers did not record a hit in the game.

Riley Ferguson tossed the complete game for Logan County. Ferguson had eight strikeouts and allowed zero hits.

Gram Humphrey and Davin Holloway combined for the pitching duties for Russellville.

Logan County is scheduled to play Glasgow tonight.

Russellville will travel to Hopkins County Central.
