Rooster Woodard flies through the air for the Cougars last week.

The Logan County Cougars have won the last nine games dating back to before Christmas. They will take their (13-3) record on the road this weekend to play in the Iron Warrior Classic at Southwestern.

The Cougars will return home to face Warren East on Tuesday.

The Lady Cougars will host Clinton County on Saturday. Kennedy Nichols eclipsed the 1000 career rebound mark on Tuesday against Edmonson County. Nichols also joined the 1,000 point club earlier this season.

The Russellville Panthers host Trinity (Whitesville) on Saturday at 3pm. The Panthers fell to Monroe County, 51-48 on Monday. A player for Monroe County hit the game-winning 3-pointer at the final buzzer.

The Lady Panthers beat Monroe County in double overtime, 40-37. A’miyah Collier had 19 points in the win. Anastasia Dowlen pulled down 12 rebounds.

The Lady Panthers will also play Trinity (Whitesville) on Saturday.
