Logan County hosted Russellville on Friday for the second Clash of the Cats this season. The Cougars pulled away for the win, 61-47.

Logan County held a slim 13-10 lead after the first quarter. Rooster Woodard scored six in the first frame for the Cougars. Elijah Kemp hit three shots for the Panthers at the start of the game.

By the half, Logan had jumped ahead 31-18. Kelby Epley sank two 3-pointers before the break. Third Bell mad five free throws and a layup for seven in the 2nd quarter. Jacob Naylor hit two long shots for six also in the second frame.

The Cougars tacked on another 17 points after the half. It was 48-29 going into the final period.

The Panthers scored 18 points in the 4th but fell short 61-47 for the final.

Jacob Naylor dropped 19 points for Russellville. Elijah Kemp had nine. Parker Jones finished with eight.

Rooster Woodard had 19 points for the Cougars. Tommy Krohn finished with 14. Third Bell collected 12 points in the win. Kelby Epley had eight.

The Cougars (17-4) will travel to Todd County on Thursday.

Russellville (7-12) heads to Franklin on Friday.
