The Logan County Cougars came from behind on Friday night to beat the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats 55-48 to win the 13th District title.

The Cougars trailed the Cats the entire first half. Logan County took the lead in the fourth quarter and finished with the win.

Rooster Woodard led Logan County with 23 points. Senior Jose Nazario had 13 in the win. Dalton Thompson scored 11 for the Cougars.

The win was the second district championship win in a row for Logan County.

The Cougars (27-3) have won 23 in a row and go into the Fourth Region tournament with a ton of momentum. They have not lost to a 4th Region opponent all season in 17 attempts. They will play Cumberland County (7-21) tonight at Diddle Arena. The Cougars beat Cumberland County 66-50 on February 20th.
