Tonight marks week two in Kentucky high school football. Both of our local teams will play at home tonight. It will be the home-opener for the Panthers, while the Cougars play at home for the second time.

The Russellville Panthers lost a tough game on the road to open the season last week. They traveled to Warren East and lost 48-0. The Raiders passed for 126 yards and ran for 197 on the ground against the Panthers.

Jovari Gamble ran 14 times for 110 yards for Russellville. Josh McMurry led the defense with five tackles.

Tonight, the Panthers host the Glasgow Scotties. Glasgow beat LaRue County, 35-13, in week 1. Senior running back Nick Mitchell rushed for 166 yards and four touchdowns in that game.

Logan County defeated Butler County, 55-20, last week. Tyler Ezell threw for 211 yards and completed three passes for touchdowns. The Cougars ran for 261 yards and three scores. Gary Hardy had 110 yards on the ground with two TD's.

The Logan County defense held Butler to only 16 yards on the ground in 19 rushing attempts. Quarterback Jagger Henderson threw for 274 yards and two scores.

Tonight, Logan County will host Muhlenberg County. The Mustangs were embarrassed by Trigg County, 40-0, in week 1. Muhlenberg threw for 53 total yards and rushed for 60 as a team in that loss.

Both games start at 7 p.m.
