The high school baseball and softball season of 2019 is winding down this week. The Panthers and Cougars both have teams playing the final regular-season games this week. The 13th District tournament will follow.

The Logan County Cougars baseball team is (23-7) heading into the final week. They have only two losses in the 4th Region, and just one in the 13th District. The Cougars play at South Warren tonight. Logan County won the first meeting, 5-4.

The Lady Cougars softball team (20-5) also heads to South Warren tonight. Logan County beat the Lady Spartans 6-2 during the first contest back on April 27.

The young Russellville Panthers (2-16) have struggled this season as they rebuild. The two wins so far were against Caverna. The Panthers hit the road to face Barren County tonight.

The Lady Panthers (17-7) have put together another winning season in 2019. Russellville looks to break the 20-win mark before the season is complete. They will play at Trigg County tonight.
