Both the Cougars and Panthers return home tonight to face district opponents on the gridiron.

The Panthers are coming off of a 34-31 win over Fulton County before the bye week. The win was the first of the season for Russellville. They are (1-0) in district play.

Tonight, the Panthers (1-6) will host Caverna (1-6.) The only win for Caverna was a 51-0 thumping of the Shawnee Golden Eagles. Shawnee has only scored 8 points all season and has not won since 2014. Russellville played Caverna last in the 2016 season. The Panthers won that contest 62-6.

The Cougars used the bye week to heal up physically and mentally after losing the first game of the season to Hopkinsville. Logan County (6-1) will host Hopkins County Central tonight.

The Hopkins County Central Storm (0-8) sits dead last in Class 4A. Last season, the Cougars beat the Storm 68-13. Hopkins Central's quarterback has 1977 passing yards this season with 14 touchdowns. He is also the leading rusher with only 181 yards on the ground in 2019.

Logan County's Tyler Ezell has 23 touchdown passes this year. Gary Hardy is the leading rusher with 621 yards.

Both games start at 7 pm tonight.
