Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff's Office attempted a traffic stop on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at approximately 4:44 p.m.

The car was a blue Pontiac G3 known to be operated by 43-year-old Brian Hadden of Auburn, who was known to have several active felony warrants for his arrest.

When deputies attempted to initiate the traffic stop, Hadden fled at a high rate of speed and a pursuit ensued.

Deputies chased Hadden for several miles before he stopped the vehicle and was apprehended.

The female passenger in the car, 29-year-old Chelsea Hazel of Hopkinsville, was found to have four active felony warrants in Warren County. Both were arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center. Charges included first degree fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia -- in addition to the various warrants.

Captain Clint Wright, deputy Parker Rowland and deputy Rodney McMillan were involved in the pursuit.
