Thanks to the quick and efficient response of deputy Ashley Grayson of the Logan County Sheriff's Department, as well as deputies of Robertson County, a wanted Russellville man, was finally apprehended and is now behind bars.

Daniel W. Doss, 39, of 1725 Nashville Road, was wanted on numerous felony offenses out of Robertson County, Tenn.

On Tuesday, July 9, the Logan County Sheriff's Department was made aware that Doss may be in the Orndorff Mill Road-Keysburg area.

It was during a routine patrol that deputy Grayson observed the Chevrolet Tahoe that Doss was reported driving. When deputy Grayson attempted to stop the vehicle, Doss accelerated and began to flee.

Other deputies of the sheriff's department joined the chase which took them into Tennessee.

A tire deflation device placed on the road was unsuccessful in stopping Doss, however, it did flatten both front tires and slow him down.

Robertson County deputies joined the chase as well which saw the vehicle Doss was driving crash through a metal cattle gate, eventually stopping in an open field. Doss attempted to run but was apprehended.

Deputies discovered there was a female and two 6-year-old children in the Tahoe as well.

Doss was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Both he and the passenger of the vehicle stated he had thrown numerous items of contraband out the window during the pursuit.

Doss is lodged in the Robertson County Jail. He is facing numerous charges in both Robertson and Logan Counties.

Other Logan County deputies responsible for apprehending Doss include Ryan Johnson and Sgt. David Kitchens.
