Logan County Cougars Head Coach Ethan Meguiar was named 4th Region Coach of the Year for 2019.

Logan County put together another fantastic season on the baseball field in 2019. The Cougars finished (28-8) for the year.

Head Coach Ethan Meguiar was voted 4th Region coach of the year for 2019. Coach Meguiar was also recently inducted into the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Coach Ethan Meguiar has a 22-year Head Coach win-loss record of (470-273.) The Cougars won the 4th Region championship in 2013 and finished as runner-ups in 2010 and 2017.

2019 marks the second time that Coach Meguiar has been selected as 4th Region Coach of the Year, (2013.)

Logan County Junior Braxton Meguiar was selected 3rd Team All-State for 2019. Meguiar was also voted as a Junior All-Star for the 4th Region.

Braxton had an average of .484 for the season. He hit seven home runs and had 46 RBIs. Meguiar led the Cougars in hits (60,) singles (34,) doubles (19,) home runs (7,) RBIs (46,) and runs (46.) Braxton Meguiar broke the school record for hits in a season with 60. He also recorded the second longest hitting streak in Kentucky baseball history this season with 34 straight games.

Koby Wall was selected as Senior 4th Region All-Star. Wall finished with 50 hits, 17 doubles, three home runs, 39 RBIs, and a batting average of .403.

Wall also pitched 46 innings in 11 games this season. His record was (5-2.) Wall recorded 45 strikeouts on the hill.
