The Logan County Fair is chock-full of events for everyone to enjoy. From livestock shows and carnival rides to a demolition derby and helicopter rides. This year will mark the first year for an event being held in conjunction with the fair. The “Real Heroes” Special Needs pageant will be held at the Logan County Extension complex Tuesday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m.

The Logan County “Real Heroes” is a pageant for girls, boys, woman and men with special needs. There is no age limit and everyone is invited to participate regardless of what county you live in. This pageant is completely free and every contestant will receive an award.

“We are very excited to make this event happen in Logan County,” said organizer Jackie Stewart who is the director at Active Day of Russellville.

Dress attire for this pageant is whatever the contestant is comfortable in (formal or Sunday best). Volunteers will be available to assist with hair and make-up. There will also be photographers at the pageant to take images for the contestant, family, and friends.

“Please help us make this pageant a huge success,” said Stewart.

Organizers are seeking volunteers to help during the event as well as sponsorship to provide awards. If you can assist in any way, please contact Stewart at 270-542-9523, 270-726-2100, or visit the Real Heroes Special Needs Pageant Facebook page.
