A 43-year-old Auburn man was arrested Thursday, Sept. 10 by Auburn Police Officer BJ Ferguson.

According to a news release, Officer Ferguson conducted a traffic stop on Wilson Ave on a vehicle operated by Timothy Boyd in reference to traffic violations.

After being assisted by Russellville Police Officers Sgt. Chris Bellar and K-9 Jax, a search of the vehicle was conducted and several controlled substances, along with suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located.

Boyd was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on charges of no registration plates; display of illegal/altered registration plate; failer of owner to maintain insurance, 1st; failure to register transfer of vehicle; possession of a controlled substance 1st (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance, 2nd (drug unspecified), and possession of an open alcohol beverage in a motor vehicle.
