Trial dates have been set in Logan Circuit Court for four Logan County men. Three accused of sexual crimes against minors and one for the death of an infant and harm to two other minor children. Each defendant will have an opportunity to accept a plea agreement from the Commonwealth Attorney's Office before their trial date. If they chose not to accept an agreement beforehand, the dates and charges are as follows:

Sept. 10 has been set for Michael Thigpen's case. Thigpen, of Auburn, is accused of leaving his three children in a van which resulted in the death of his baby, and the hospitalization of his two other small children.

The five-month-old infant was found unresponsive in a trailer on Belcher Drive in John's Mobile Home Park in Auburn in September 2017, along with two other small children ages one and a half and two.

At first, Thigpen denied knowing what had happened to the children but later confessed leaving them in the van and going into the trailer and falling asleep.

Thigpen is charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of his infant daughter and three counts each of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence, neglect and failure to report child neglect-abuse.

A competency hearing was held recently finding Thigpen able to stand trial.

Aug. 13 has been set for Ethan Goodnight's case. Goodnight, of Russellville, is accused of multiple sex crimes against a juvenile victim over a five-year period. He was indicted on 144 counts of first-degree sexual abuse (victim younger than 12 years of age), 96 counts of second-degree sodomy, two counts of third-degree sodomy and one count of first-degree sexual abuse.

Goodnight was arrested in February after an investigation by the Russellville Police Department followed when a juvenile came forward at school about the abuse. According to court records, Goodnight admitted to the abuse with the juvenile at three separate addresses, confessing to authorities the abuse began when he was 21 and the juvenile was 12.

Jan. 14 has been set for Michael Hardin's case. Hardin, of Lewisburg, is accused of molesting four children over a four year period between 2012 and 2016. He was indicted in March on four counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

The trial date has been changed in the Willie Clarence White case to Sept. 17. White, of Lewisburg, is accused of inappropriately touching three minors.

A Logan County Grand Jury indicted White on April 27 for subjecting a 16-year old to sexual contact when he allegedly placed his hand in her back pocket and touched her buttocks for sexual gratification between November and December of 2017.

The jury also indicted White during the same time period for subjecting two more victims to sexual contact. One when he allegedly touched at 15-year-old's vagina for sexual gratification and another when he allegedly touched the buttocks of a 12-year-old for sexual gratification.

White is an associate pastor and bus driver for Focus Church in Lewisburg. According to church leadership, White has been asked not to return to the church until the case is resolved.
