On Feb. 26, an agent with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 68 East on a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Larry Settles of Clarksville, Tenn. for traffic violations. Through investigation, it was determined Settles was operating the vehicle on a DUI suspended license.

A strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Settles when the agent made contact. Settles was given the standard field sobriety test and was found to be under the influence of alcohol. A search of Settles produced methamphetamine.

Settles is lodged at Logan County Detention Center and is being charged with speeding 9 mph over the limit, possession of controlled substance first degree (methamphetamine), operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and driving DUI suspended license (aggravated circumstances).
