The funeral procession of Sherman Guthrie Price, 106, rounded the Carrico Square in Russellville at a little past noon today honoring the wishes of one of Logan County's biggest and long-living supporters. Mr. Price passed away Monday, June 22 after living a long life dedicated to family and farming.

Mr. Price was a Logan County native born Feb. 8, 1914, farming registered Angus cattle, tobacco, commercial Holstein dairy, Berkshire hogs, sheep, Belgian horses, Walking horses, and row crops including corn, soybeans, wheat, barley and milo. He was one of the first farmers in the early 1950’s to establish double-cropping barley and milo.
