Martha Belle Wright, 95, of Russellville, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at the Creekwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1917, a daughter of the late Samuel Lesley and Margaret Jane King Ruley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Wright and her daughter, Margaret Lee Wright.

Mrs. Wright taught in the Logan County School System for many years and was a member of The First Christian Church of Russellville. She was a member of the Aftermath Club and The Logan County Retired Teachers Association.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Reverend Dr. Earl “Judge” Coker and Brother Buddy Crabtree officiating. Burial followed in the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation began at the funeral home Friday, March 1 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday after 8 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers were Terry Jayne, Ben Jayne, Don Neagle, Rich Sheubrooks, Ralph Wright and Boyd Earl Wright.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Bess Good of Russellville and Muriel Sheubrooks of Charlotte, N.C.; her sister, Emma Christine Taunton of Flagstaff, Ariz.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
