Haley Brooke Thomas, 10, of Bowling Green, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, due to complications with Cystic Fibrosis at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

A native of Bowling Green, Ky., she was the daughter of Steve and Tonya Belk Thomas. She was preceded in death by James Earl and Lucille Belk, Herbert and Lena Thomas, Clarence and Miriam Otto, Eulas and Ogilva Herald, and Lynn Otto.

Haley was a member of Three Springs Baptist Church and was a 5th grade student at T. C. Cherry Elementary. During her battle with Cystic Fibrosis she touched many lives with her positive attitude and smile. She enjoyed playing on the computer and loved her dogs Mandie, Chantz and Champ. Haley loved her baby dolls and watching wrestling.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial followed in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation began Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 20 from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Haley is survived by her brother, Tyler Wayne Thomas; her maternal grandparents, Bob “Dudie” and Margaret Ruth Belk of Bowling Green, Ky.; her paternal grandparents, Murrell and Gloria Thomas of Russellville, Ky. and Alice Parker of Bowling Green, Ky.; her uncle, John Jason Thomas (Veronica) of Park City, Ky.; her aunts, Tammy Stubblefield (Joe), Tina Belk, Trevia Cole (James), Wendy Mills (Kevin), Sandy Rosser (Bobby) and Leslie Parson (Todd), and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
