William Barry Elliott, 65, of Russellville, died Nov. 18, 2012, at the4 Medical Center in Bowling Green.

He was born in Logan County Feb. 9, 1947, a son of the late Beatrice Elliott and the late Julia Ann Cabel. In addition to his parents, Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Elliott.

Mr. Elliott was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a U.S. Postal worker in Nashville, Tenn. and Russellville. He served in the United States Air Force and United States Navy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Russellville with reverend Fred Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Townsend Grove Cemetery. Visitation begins Friday, Nov. 23 from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his daughters, Melody Mayo and Celeste Elliott both of Russellville; his son, Barry Elliott of Russellville; his brothers, James Elliott of Oklahoma, William L. Elliott of Franklin and Beatrice Hucky Elliott of Louisville; his sisters, Linda Jean Elliott of Franklin and Billie Catherine Comer of Peoria, Ill.; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
