Helen Carnes Humble, 84, of West 7th Street, Russellville, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at her home.

She was born February 29, 1928 to the late Walter Carnes and Margie Wheat Carnes in Jamestown.

She was a United Methodist pastor’s wife and her husband was the founder of the AGAPE Service Foundation where she volunteered. She was a member of Stevenson’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ellis Humble.

Funeral services for Helen Carnes Humble will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Dr. J. Earl Coker officiating with burial to follow in the Stevenson’s Chapel United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5-8 p.m. pm Friday, November 9, 2012 and after 8 a.m. on Saturday until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers with be grandsons Scott Humble, Brian Humble Matthew Humble and Jason Humble, Luke Humble and Sam Humble and great grandson, Michael Humble.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Humble (Margaret) and Mike Humble (Janice) both of Russellville, Steve Humble of Nashville and Bob Humble (Sandi) of Salisbury, N.C.; brother, Carl Carnes of Jamestown; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the AGAPE Service Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
