Reba Hightower Stokes, 86, of Elkton, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at her home.

She was born in Todd County Oct. 23, 1925, a daughter of the late James Raymond and Zellie Willis Brown. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stokes was preceded in death by her husband, David Hightower in 1997.

Mrs.Stokes was a homemaker and former owner of G & H Bar B Que in Elkton. She was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday. Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with Reverend Gayla Webb officiating. Burial followed in the Todd County Meadow Haven. Visitation began Wednesday, Oct. 17 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Gibson of Elkton, her brother, Howard Brown of Texas; her grandchildren, Stacy Gibson of Nashville, Tenn. and Mendy Strader of Elkton, and her great-grandchildren, Carter and Jack Strader both of Elkton and Miles Harper of Nashville, Tenn.
