Ravenal Porter Penrod, 94, of North Main Street, Russellville, died at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab Center in Russellville, Sunday, July 8, 2012.
She was born May 30, 1918 to the late Murray Porter and Mary Penrod Porter in Butler County. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church since 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Coleman “Bill” Penrod and her sons, Roger Penrod and Stanley Penrod.
Funeral Services for were Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Duncan and Bro. Jason Landreth officiating with burial in the Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation was at Woodlawn Baptist Church will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday. Pallbearers were Robert George, Ray Tate, Jerry Hardison, Boyd Ray Penrod, David Etheridge, Raymond Etheridge and David Meguiar. Honorary Pallbearers were Dennis Yates and the deacons of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Penrod Etheridge (Bro. Dale ) of Russellville, daughters-in-law, Bettye Jo Penrod of Russellville and Bettye Jane Penrod of Adairville; sisters, Margie Latham of Dunmor and Clessie Ballow of Pascagoula, Miss.; sisters-in-law, Fannie Porter and Lavone Porter, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Dessie Penrod of Lewisburg; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
