Leona Mae Ford Groves, 83, of Elkton, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born in Todd County May 2, 1929, a daughter of the late Curtis Washie and Edith Ford. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Groves was preceded in death by her husband, James Groves and her grandson, Mike Hayes.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9 at 2 p.m. in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Delmar Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation begins Friday, June 8 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Knight of Elkotn; her half-brothers, Buddy Ford of Greenville and Elmer Ford of Madisonville; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.
