Betty Gayle Smith, 66, of Russellville, died May 14, 2012, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

She was born in Jeffersonville, Ind., Dec. 29, 1945, a daughter of the late Clinton Young and the late Ethel Williams Young. Mrs. Smith worked several years at Red Kap Manufacturing and was a member of The Kingdom Hall.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 18 at 2 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel. Burial followed at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Thursday, May 17 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, May 18 from 8 a.m. until time of funeral service.

Pallbearers were Robin Canler, Kenny Canler, Buster Campbell, John Eric Campbell, Mike Rogers and Stinson Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Smith of Russellville; her son, Dwayne Smith of Russellville; her brother, Boyd Gene Young of Russellville, and her sisters, Jackie Canler of Auburn and Lou Nell Harris of Russellville.
