She was born in Todd County July 11, 1933, a daughter of the late Richard and Betsy Hampton Knight. In addition to he parents, Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her son, William Dale Knight in 1956.
Mrs. Knight was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 28 at Latham Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Gordon Knight of Elkton; her sons, Michael R. Knight of Allegre, David Lee Knight of Elkton and Ronnie Knight and Donnie Knight, both of Owensboro; her daughters, Betty Darlene Coomer of Kirkmansville, Peggy Ann Hightower of Elkton and Judy Kay Nealy of Franklin; her brother, James Knight of Elkton; her sisters, Dorothy Ford of Elkton and Lucille Sweeney of Lewisburg; 15 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
