“We’ll have around 300 antique tractors and old farm equipment,” said Drexel Johnson, one of the event organizers. “And we’ll have vendors with displays and selling things.”
The event is put on by the Logan County Antique Gas Engine & Tractor Association and Johnson said it’s a great day for families to come out to the park and take a look around. And admission is free.
“We have people from several states that come here and it really draws a large crowd,” Johnson said.
Johnson said kids, boys especially, really like looking at the tractors.
The event begins Friday, June 4 with an Antique Tractor Pull, Cut Tire Class at 6 p.m.
Then, on Saturday morning, the tractor parade is at 10:30 a.m. Weigh-in is at noon and the Super & Farm Stock Pull, 2 sleds, is at 1 p.m., followed by the Kid’s Tractor Pull at 1:30 p.m.
Tractors and engines will be on display throughout the park. Displays will include: garden tractors, model engines, antique engines, hammer mill, bone grinder, antique tractors, grist mill, blacksmithing, corn shelling, Charles Oatts Toy Tractor Display and Sales, and a lumberjack demonstration.
The feature of the show this year will be 2010 John Deeres.
Flea market spots are available for vendors to set up and there will be food vendors as well. Some who take part in the show come and camp at the park.
“It’s a beautiful location,” Johnson said.
Each year the park is full of families enjoying the show and Johnson said he hopes many come out this year.
“Come on out and have a big time,” he said. “It will be a good day.”
