The annual Givin’ Back Classic basketball game was recently held at Russellville High School’s Jim Young Gymnasium. The game featured Givin’ Back camp volunteers taking on members of the Russellville Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Department. The volunteers won 73-58, but coach “Texas” Griffin said if they didn’t win by at least 35 points, he would shave his head. Sheriff Wallace Whittake helps Griffin with the haircut after his team failed to cover the 35-point spread. For more about the camp, log on to www.givinback.org.
