Mary Elizabeth Holloway Rogers, 88, of Russellville, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

She was born in Simpson County Dec. 24, 1921, a daughter of the late Curtis Eugene Holloway and the late Catherine Hubbard Holloway. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, David Rogers; her brother, Frank Holloway; and her sister, Gertrude Call.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 25 at Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Keith Burnett and Chris Kramer officiating. Burial followed in the Auburn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were, Grant Wright, Craig Carter, Stuart Westphal, Keith Baker, Mike Alderson, Stephen Taylor, Jimmy Rogers and Brian Holloway. Honorary pallbearers were, Conrad Westbrook, Mark Hall, David Lee Holloway, Scott Holloway and Todd Holloway.

She is survived by her daughters, Geraldine Wright and husband Ralph and Nancye Boggs, all of Russellville, and Lillian Daughaday and husband Charles of Murray; her brother, Jack Holloway and wife Peggy and Hubert Holloway and wife Margaret, all of Russellville; her sisters, Virginia Cash and husband Dan of Russellville and Doris McChesney of Franklin; her grandchildren, Grant Wright, Alison Baker and Craig Carter; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
