Jackie Lee Rust, 63, of Auburn died Nov. 21, 2009 at his residence.

He was born in Logan County Nov. 13, 1946, a son of the late Mose B. Rust and the late Frances Gregory Rust. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rust was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Rust.

Mr. Rust was a United States Marine Corp veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was employed by Wal-Mart in Bowling Green and was formerly employed by Kendall/Tyco in Franklin for 33 years.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. in Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel with Brother Kenny Chyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 5-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be, Jason Powell, Eddie Lawson, Matthew Patterson, Bruce Patterson, Cody Costello, Jonathan Powell, Matthew Rust and John Potter. Honorary pallbearers are, James Powell, Bradley Rust, Randy Rust and Jacoby Rust.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie Powell Rust of Auburn; his daughters, Cindy Rust of Auburn and Melanie Patterson and husband Bruce of Bowling Green; his granddaughter, Marina Rust of Bowling Green; his grandson, Matthew Patterson of Bowling Green; his sister, Della Ramage of Lafayette. Co.; his brothers, Junior Rust and Troy Rust, both of Auburn and Larry Rust of Franklin, and several nieces and nephews.
