On July 21 at approximately 9:16 p.m., deputies of the Sheriff’s Department saw an anhydrous ammonia tank leaking at Schochoh Crop Service. The tank was connected to a smaller, unapproved container by a black hose.
Deputies arrested three suspects in a field behind the Crop Service.
They also located a 1997 Jeep Cherokee that had transported the suspects to Adairville from Cave City. After stopping the vehicle, two additional suspects were arrested.
Tommy Mills, 40 of Lexington; Crystal Perkins, 24 of Edmonton; and Damon Childress, 34 of Lawrenceburg; were all charged with theft of anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, tampering with anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container with intent to manufacture methamphetamine, third degree criminal mischief and second degree criminal trespassing.
Tara Little, 19 of Cave City, and Jonathan Childress, 20 of Cave City, were both charged with complicity of theft of anhydrous ammonia with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
All subjects were lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
